The board has 64 squares (8×8). Pieces occupy only the dark squares. Each player starts with 12 pieces arranged on the three rows closest to their side.
Your objective is to capture all of your opponent's pieces or block them so they have no legal moves left. The last player with movable pieces wins the game.
Regular pieces move diagonally forward, one square at a time, to an empty dark square. You can only move to unoccupied squares — no stacking or backward moves for regular pieces.
Jump diagonally over an adjacent opponent's piece to an empty square beyond it. The jumped piece is removed from the board. If multiple jumps are available, you must continue jumping.
When a piece reaches the far end of the board (the opponent's back row), it becomes a King. Kings can move and capture diagonally in any direction — both forward and backward.

Tap your piece to select it. Available moves will appear as highlighted squares. Tap the destination square to move. The interface scales automatically for comfortable touch play.
The game automatically enforces rules — illegal moves are blocked. Mandatory captures are highlighted. Use the in-game controls to restart, undo, or adjust settings.
Central squares give your pieces maximum mobility. Pieces stuck on the edges have fewer options and are easier for your opponent to trap or bypass.
Keep at least one piece on your back row as long as possible. This prevents your opponent from easily creating Kings, which are much more powerful.
Pieces that support each other are harder to capture. Advance your pieces together rather than sending lone soldiers deep into enemy territory.
Before every move, consider what your opponent will do next. Try to think at least two moves ahead — this is what separates beginners from intermediate players.
Create situations where your opponent must capture your piece, only to leave themselves open for a devastating multi-jump sequence. Sacrifice one piece to take two or three.
Control the pace of the game by making "waiting moves" that force your opponent to break their formation first. Patience is often the key to victory in checkers.
When the board thins out, King mobility becomes decisive. Learn to use your Kings efficiently — cornering opponent pieces and controlling diagonal lanes for a clean finish.
